A warm, softly lit still life of aged cheese wheels and wedges on a rustic wooden board, with deep cream and golden-yellow tones against a dark moody background.

I'm a long-time Game Master and player who fell into the hobby years ago and never quite climbed back out. This blog is where I work through that obsession — mostly through the lens of GURPS, the system I keep returning to no matter how many others I try.

Over the years I've run campaigns across a range of settings, from low-tech fantasy to pulp-era adventure and everything in between. I built the Inkworld setting as a home for some of those stories — a world where magic flows from the remnants of dead deities, and where the rules of mana feel just a little bit different.

I write about character creation, game-mastering techniques, adventure seeds, and the occasional rant about tropes that have outlived their usefulness. If you're running GURPS — or thinking about it — you might find something useful here.

You can reach me through the links on the home page, or follow along with the archives to see what I've been thinking about.

The contact page is the natural next step after years of writing about GURPS character creation, adventure design, and the many sessions that have filled the blog. Whether you have a question about a tricky advantage or disadvantage, want to share a memorable combat moment from your own table, or simply want to talk shop about running a campaign, reaching out is always welcome. The same collaborative spirit that drives good roleplaying games applies here — the best ideas often come from conversations with other players and Game Masters who see a situation from a fresh angle. Feedback on the Inkworld setting, thoughts on a particular mechanic, or even just a story about how a session went sideways are all worth sharing.

For those new to the site, this is also a good place to ask where to begin. The blog covers everything from basic rules and character creation to more technical topics like magic systems and combat mechanics, so it can feel overwhelming at first. A quick message can help point you toward the posts that match your interests, whether you are preparing your first adventure or looking to refine a long-running campaign. The community around this site values creative problem-solving and practical advice, and questions are never treated as silly. If you have been staring at a rule or a story idea and want a second opinion, do not hesitate to get in touch.
